Siena Insulation Primer

Product overview

Siena Insulation Primer is used to limit stains and colour variations on the substrate from bleeding through into the topcoat. It turns the surface into a more uniform base for the finishing paint.

Areas of use

• Interior surfaces with water stains, soot or yellowing
• Renovation surfaces with a risk of colour bleed-through
• Walls and ceilings requiring preparation before the topcoat
• Surfaces that look patchy because of separate repair areas

Surface preparation

1. 1Always eliminate the source of the staining (water ingress, damp, etc.).
2. 2Remove dust, dirt and loose particles from the surface.
3. 3Strip blistered paint layers from the surface.
4. 4Make sure the repaired areas are completely dry.

Application method

1. 1Stir the product until homogeneous before application.
2. 2Apply the primer evenly over the stained area and its surroundings.
3. 3Heavy stains may require a second coat of primer; apply it once the first coat has dried.
4. 4Apply the topcoat once the primer has dried.
